TIME WARPED

My senior thesis was inspired by the aging of materials transformed over time by natural elements. I was intrigued by the many layers and characteristics of rust, and how each layer tells a different story. Using an innovative approach, I developed a textile collection that expresses the aesthetic and tactile qualities of rust. The collection reflects the aging of rust through the use of coloration, texture, and fabric manipulation. The color palette and fabrication choices are based on warm tones and textures that heighten the physical and visual appeal of the collection.
